Winter weather advisories out for the northern portions of the state today. Anywhere from 1″ to upwards of 3″….the 2-3″ amounts likely confined closer to the South Dakota border.

The HRRR seems to have a good handle on snow accumulations today. The “heaviest” snow looks to fall around Chadron to Rushville area where local 3-4″ amounts cannot be ruled out. Outside of that, a general 1″ to possibly 2″ for northern portions of the state.
Need to watch for very gusty winds…gusting to near 50 mph at times this afternoon. This could create some power outages and tree damage.
