Today’s Kansas Video Forecast:
Here are the latest alerts across the state: Red Flag Warning for central portions of the state with extreme grassland fire danger. Wind advisory for portions of the state where gusts up to 45 mph will be possible this afternoon into the evening. We will all see very gusty northwest winds later today.
Forecast radar into tonight…a few showers in eastern parts of the state, otherwise clearing skies through the day.
Here are the forecast temperatures over the next 18 hours….remaining warm for areas east, but note the cooler temperatures filtering in from northwest to southeast as we head into tonight.
It turns cooler as we progress through mid and late week. It is possible many areas stay in the 30s on Thursday! This is thanks to an “anomalous” jet stream developing, with a ridge (warmth) along the west coast, and a deepening trough (cold) across the east.
