12-31-19 Tovar Stevens Point: Snow shutting off across the state. Watching potential weak wave this evening. B.

Good morning everyone. Snow is beginning to shut off across SE portions of the state and will continue to work out throughout the next hour or so. Overall, just a few lingering flurries/isolated snow showers here or there that should wind down shortly. Here’s a look at the current radar:

We will likely see more sun break out throughout the day today (black colors are indicative of little to no cloud cover, white indicates clouds):

Temperatures throughout the day today into 8PM:

We are keeping a close eye on a wave of energy that will work through Wisconsin overnight tonight. There is a lot of dry air in place, but given the colder air it’s *possible* that this energy could help squeeze out some moisture and produce flurries or some scattered snow showers. This is not a guarantee but we want to mention the potential for a couple of snow showers in the area outlined below with the *potential* to produce a coating of snow at the most. This would be a very fine, dry snow that would likely blow around with winds still gusting at times to 15-25 MPH.
