12-30-19 Tovar Indianapolis: Afternoon update on snow chances/amounts overnight tonight.V.

Good Monday afternoon! Below is your latest forecast update:

Current radar + temps:

Simulated radar through the afternoon, evening, and into Tue morning. Latest model trends suggest a trend of delaying the main wave by a few hours vs the AM update and slightly decreasing totals. Our main wave is also looking to be slightly more broken as our upper level energy has become a little less impressive. A few scattered, light snow showers are possible this evening from I 70 and points to the north but accumulation through midnight looks to be extremely minimal for the overwhelming majority of us:

Sim temps from 5 PM ET through Noon ET tomorrow:

Winds from 5 PM ET through Noon ET tomorrow. Coming from the WSW sustained 10-20 MPH with gusts 30-40 MPH possible. This will help limit snow accumulation:

Current favored snow totals through midday tomorrow. Based on latest model guidance trends and strong winds, we think the area circled will see even lower totals than what is modeled as it looks like this system will have a hard time bringing any moderate snow that far south into Indiana:
