Today’s video:
Synopsis: We see a continuous lake effect band work across mainly LaPorte, St. Joseph, Marshall, Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties as we go throughout the day into Sunday…we think over 6″+ will be possible locally in some locations (noted in the video) as the lake effect band continues to reload Sunday into Monday. We do anticipate to see some sunshine to work in at times on Sunday, but unfortunately it won’t be all out sunshine with consistent northwest winds allowing clouds to form over the Lake. Let us know if you have any questions we will be around all day, have a blessed New Years weekend! -Kirk
Guidance from the 3km NAM model through the next 60 hours…wouldn’t be shocked to see 6-10″ of snowfall across northeast LaPorte, St. Joseph into northern Marshall Counties…it won’t all come at once but will be a conglomerate over the next 2-3 days. Blowing and drifting snow will also be an issue as winds will consistently be out of the northwest.
