12-29-19 Tovar Dubuque: Updated thoughts on Snowfall potential. MG.

Good Evening!  Here is our latest thoughts on snowfall accumulation potential.

Here is a look at the current hazards across the state.  Stevens Point is now under a winter storm warning.

We will see a swatch of precipitation in the early morning hours that spreads northward with snow slowly working in during the morning hours.  Eventually cold air will completely infiltrate the rain leading to all snow conditions.  Initially in the morning, accumulations will be hard to come by, especially for areas along the lake shore.  Minor accumulations will be possible closer to the interior of Wisconsin in the morning hours where temperatures will be slightly cooler.  Stevens Point could start to see snow accumulate around the 9 AM timeframe.  From the north, an area of snow will work its way down south into the afternoon hours/ overnight hours of Monday leading to accumulating snow with some breezy conditions as well.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 6 AM tomorrow morning through 7 AM TUE morning.

Here is a 6 – Panel of simulated radar from 6 AM tomorrow morning through 7 AM TUE morning.

Here is a look at forecast temperatures during these times.

Winds will become quite breezy Monday afternoon.  Gust of 35 MPH will be possible, especially across Southern/ Southeastern Wisconsin.  Here is a look at wind gust potential around 3 PM Monday.
