12-29-19 Tovar Chicago North: Updated thoughts on snowfall potential. MG.

Good Evening!  Here is our latest thoughts on snowfall accumulation potential.

A swath of rain will work its way into the Chicago Metro area late tonight into the morning hours of tomorrow.  Some snow may develop on the back edge of this rain with some flurries possible as well.  However, temperatures look to remain warm enough that no impacts or accumulations are expected in the morning across the Chicago Metro area.  Temperatures will remain rather consistent during the day Monday hovering around 33 F.  As the sun goes down, temperatures will begin to fall below the 32 F mark.  Tomorrow evening, a round of snow will move into Chicago from the north and will continue to move south into the morning hours of Tuesday before things look to clear out Tuesday afternoon.
