Here is a look at the preferred model simulated radar guidance from 2 PM today through 1 AM Monday morning.  Rain will continue to expand from west to east this afternoon with some severe storms possible, especially across southwestern MO.  Strong winds look to be the primary hazard.  Heavy downpours and thunder/ lightning will be possible as well.  There is a small risk for a tornado as well, especially across SW MO.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe weather for SW MO.  Overall, not much to disagree with in the SPC’s outlook.

A few flurries will be possible into Monday morning on the back side of this system.  Overall, temperatures will remain to warm for any impacts.  Very minor accumulations possible in far northern portions of the state.  Here is a look at temperatures Monday morning around 5 AM.
