Synopsis: Good Thursday morning! We expect clouds to increase today, with drizzle/light showers expected to build in tonight and Friday. Another wave of low pressure will bring in additional rains Friday night and Saturday, with the heaviest along the Ohio River ~1″. The rain may mix or change over to some snow showers Saturday, but right now not concerned about any accumulation or slick spots. Couldn’t “rule out” some minor refreezing Saturday night, but the pavement should have time to dry before we fall below freezing. I think the time-frame we need to watch for slick road potential will be Christmas Eve afternoon into Christmas Day morning. A disturbance will bring in snow showers across the state, more robust for locations further north where light accumulations are looking more likely. Lower confidence in snow potential for areas south of Bloomington/Columbus, but the potential of at least snow showers is increasing. The entire area needs to watch for slick roads being possible Christmas Eve evening/night as arctic air builds in with the lingering snow showers. Christmas Day trends mainly dry and cold. More details in the video. Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions.
