12-16-19 Tovar St. Louis (1pmCT): Discussing remaining snow potential tonight. K.

Current radar as of 12:54pmET:

No major change to our earlier forecasts. Here’s the latest favored simulated radar guidance from 2pmCT to 1amCT. We anticipate there to be a lull in wintry precipitation nearing 5pmCT, picking back up for more light to moderate snow fall from after 6pmCT to midnight. Think things start to taper off with more flurries from midnight to 2am:

Additional snowfall totals from 2pmCT through 1am Tuesday…generally 3-5″ with locally higher totals around the metro:

Lows get down to the mid/upper teens into Tuesday morning due to the snowpack influence…it goes without saying, any surfaces untreated have the potential to refreeze quickly after the snow ends after midnight tonight:

Definitely should see sunshine starting to become more widespread later tomorrow into the afternoon that’ll help melting:

Low temps Wednesday morning…with any snow that does melt and is left untreated, we definitely have low enough temps to refreeze untreated surfaces:
