Good Evening!

Here is a current look at the radar as of 8:43 PM CT.  Dry air is beginning to eat away at at the snow showers across IL but these should last long enough to give the Chicago metro area snow.

Here is a look at the current temperature as of 8:30 PM CT.  Temperatures are plenty cold enough for snow to stick around where it can fall.

Here is at a 4 – Panel from 10 PM tonight through 1 AM.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 10 PM through 4 AM.  Snow looks to completely shut off by 4 AM based off some of the newest data.  May be faster than this depending on how much dry air can eat away at these existing showers.

Here is a look at preferred model guidance for snowfall accumulations.  There is still some disparities in regards to exact placement of where these totals can set up.  The image below shows the risk with this snow.  Areas to the south have the greatest risk for higher snowfall accumulations as shown in the image below.
