12-15-17 Illinois Forecast: Mild pattern develops into late next week…big changes by Christmas! N.

Mild days ahead next week, along with mainly dry conditions from Monday afternoon into Thursday.  We track a strong cold front that looks to move through Thursday night into Friday.  This will bring the next chance for rain, possibly a transition to some snow showers as sharply colder air works in:

It turns MUCH colder for Christmas weekend!  We are still monitoring the *potential* of a winter storm set-up next weekend into the following week.  Individual model runs will continue to show widely varying solutions.  Certainly no guarantees, but continue to stay tuned to the forecast as we get closer.  Here are our weeks 1 through 4 outlooks, going through the 10th of January.
