12-13-17 LaPorte / Ft. Wayne Districts Forecast

Synopsis: Good Wednesday morning! Today we continue to discuss the wave of energy moving into the state later this afternoon into the evening, what’s key is looking at temperatures where we will be hovering around freezing when the snowfall starts. We get gusty today as well with gusts up to 35-40mph starting out of the southwest transitioning out of the northwest. This first wave is out of here by ~midnight east tonight, we are also targeting an additional lake effect band across parts of the LaPorte District Thursday with additional accumulations possible from today. We will see broken sunshine on Thursday which should help with melting anything that will accumulate on pavement/surfaces. Below is our official snowfall forecast over the next 48 hours. If you have any questions today please let us know, have a blessed day! -Kirk
