12-12-19 Tovar Milwaukee: Snow exiting this afternoon/ evening… another light round of snow possible tomorrow, mainly to the north. MG.

Good afternoon.

Here is a look at current temperatures (as of 2 PM).  Areas from Madison to Milwaukee are still above freezing with no accumulations expected in these areas.  There are still a few snow showers around the Stevens Point area where some additional accumulations will be possible.

Here is a look at the current radar as of 2:20 PM.  Notice the lack of coverage to the west of Stevens Point as this round of snow is coming to an end.

Here is a look at a 4-Panel of simulated radar for today.  Snow looks to be east of Stevens Point by ~3 – 4 PM and east of Green Bay by ~5 – 6 PM.

Here is a look at additional snowfall with this system.  As this styes is wrapping up, only additional minor accumulations are expected in areas around Stevens Point to Green Bay.

Any areas that can retain moisture will have the possibility for refreeze.  This is like likely along the coast in areas such as Milwaukee where temperatures can remain slightly warmer.  Here is a look at low temperatures tonight/ tomorrow morning.

We are eyeing another wave of snow across Wisconsin tomorrow.  This wave looks to follow a similar path as the event today but will be much weaker in regards to totals.  Once again areas such as Madison and Milwaukee don’t look to have widespread pavement impacts due to warmer pavement temperatures and the majority of the snow falling further to the north around the Stevens Point area.  The loop below show simulated radar from 12 PM tomorrow through 6 AM Saturday.  Looks to impact Stevens Point around 4 – 5 PM and Green Bay by 6 – 7 PM tomorrow.

Here is a look at preferred snowfall accumulations for tomorrow.

Any areas that can retain moisture tomorrow could have potential refreeze risk as well.  Here is a look at temperatures around 12 AM Saturday.  Temperatures look to drop below freezing widespread.
