Next wave to watch will be from ~3-9pmCT Saturday night for a light rain/snow mix…snow accumulations not expected at this time with temps above freezing…but the concern for refreeze into Sunday morning is elevated with low temps looking to crash into the mid to upper teens:
The bigger story will be how Monday afternoon/evening through Tuesday morning pans out…still considerable spread between forecast models with the Euro further south and GFS a big hitter winter storm. It’s worth noting the Euro has trended considerably further northwest over the last couple of runs, so we need to be on guard for a higher impact event early next. If the GFS solution is more correct, a swath of 6″+ around the area isn’t impossible:
