Quiet and cold weather settles in through the short-term forecast. We are still watching for Downtown Chicago and points south/southwest for a brief pulse of light snow showers/flurries around 6-10amCT on Wednesday morning. Temps will be in the lower 20s so it’ll be a high-ratio (light and fluffy) event…a brief coating of snow is still possible that we need to monitor for (more details in the video above):

Our next threat doesn’t look to come until Saturday night for a rain to snow transition that’s *possible*. Models are all over the place so this is not a “slam-dunk” forecast…check back often on this, but data has trended colder this weekend, increasing the threat for some kind of wintry potential Saturday night:
