Below is the latest thinking for the weak wave of precip tomorrow morning across N IL. Below is the favored simulated radar guidance through the morning- we are favoring the main pulse of snow to stay south of the Chicago metro area. While some flakes are possible, we currently do not expect any accumulation with this for downtown CHI and points north:
Temperatures during this time- looking to stay well below freezing so any precip that falls looks to come in the form of snow and would be more on the light/fluffy side:
Current favored snowfall accumulation- we currently think this wave of precip will be situated on a rough line from Davenport, IA to Ottawa/ Streator area to Kankakee and points south. There can be a few iso spots that get an isolated ~0.5 inches, but currently favor up to a light coating with this quick moving pulse:
