An arctic cold front will move through the area Thursday-Thursday night, bringing the coldest air of the season.  Check out the expected drop in temperatures:

That cold air will spark lake-effect snow showers – initially over northwest Indiana.  As winds shift around to the northeast Friday morning, some lake-effect snow showers are possible in far northeast sections of the state..localized light accumulations cannot be ruled out. Again, most of us not impacted by this.

Our weekend system has slowed down a bit…it looks like the majority of the precipitation arrives overnight Saturday night and through the day Sunday.  It will be cold enough to support a wintry mix in northern portions of the state.
