11-7-17 Tuesday Ft. Wayne District Forecast:
Synopsis: A few showers pushing east out of the area this morning, dry and cool conditions expected for the remainder of the day. We have concern for some frost especially on bridge decks and overpasses waking up Wednesday morning as skies clear and winds calm. The coldest air of the season works in Friday morning, we also have some concern for a few lake effect showers waking up early Friday morning as discussed in the video. Our next system moves east late Saturday night into Sunday, initially some slick surfaces will be possible with temps lingering around freezing, transition to all rain showers as temps rebound throughout the day. If you have any questions please let us know, have a blessed day! -Kirk
Today’s video (5 min):
Thursday night into early Friday morning a strong northwest wind moves across the warm Lake Michigan waters bringing the potential for lake effect snow showers…however, winds shift off to the north to northeast fairly quickly moving the snow showers further west. Can’t rule out a few slick surfaces with this scenario as well.
