11-7-17 Iowa Forecast: Dry through late week…coldest air of season Thurs/Fri…wintry mix for some this weekend? N.

Today’s Iowa Video Forecast:

A few snow flurries in western Iowa this morning, skies should gradually clear from north to south through tonight as high pressure settles in.  Cool and sunny conditions Wednesday, then we target a reinforcing shot of cold air coming down across the state Thursday and Friday.

Our next round of moisture moves through this weekend….the big question at this point is how much cold air lingers as the moisture builds in.  Right now northeast Iowa has the best chance to see a wintry mix on Saturday/Saturday night, while areas further south and west are warm enough for rain.  Fine-tuning needed over the coming days.
