11-6-19 Tovar Chicago S (3am): No weather issues this morning….discussing forecast through tonight. N.

Good morning!  The area has temperatures between 32-35º, with very minimal precipitation showing up.

Simulated radar shows a few light showers or snow flurries through 8am CST.

Temperatures will not fall any lower from right now, and by 8am we are all well above freezing.  We do no anticipate any issues here this morning.

A band of snow flurries will work south through the area from 10pm-3am tonight.  This will weaken as it progresses south through the area underneath a gusty north wind, gusting to 25mph.

Forecast temperatures from 8pm to 4am tonight shows temperatures in the Chicago South area will be near freezing by midnight, then after midnight we begin to see a drop below freezing from north to south in our area,

Any impacts?  Not for most.  Given strong winds and the light nature of the flurries and brief snow showers, that should pretty much keep it all off the pavement.  The area I would for isolated slick spots would be the far northern areas of the Chicago South area.  Even on grass, there will be essentially no accumulation.  This is more of a festive flurry event vs. an impactful situation.  Check out the sustained wind speeds tonight, northerly winds sustained 10-15mph, gusts around 25mph.
