We have a mix of rain and snow moving through North Dakota this morning with rain moving into Eastern SD and SW Minnesota:
Some of this snow will changeover back to rain as temperatures rise throughout the day, but some light grassy accumulations are possible in Central ND:
Cold air will slowly seep to the east later today and begin to change rain along the front to snow on the backside. Rain with the main low will continue to push into the Southern half of Minnesota, however, we could get a changeover on the northwest side allowing for some slushy accumulations of 1-2″ into tomorrow morning. We’ll see another wave along an arctic front tomorrow which will lead to a more widespread shot at 1-2″ of accumulating snowfall especially in Northern and Eastern ND and into Northern Minnesota:

Snow showers are likely to persist in NE Minnesota into Wednesday morning before conditions quiet out on Wednesday. A weak wave will move in on Thursday and Friday and lead to scattered light snow showers:
Very cold air is likely to invade the area behind Tuesday/Wednesday’s front. In fact, temperatures could drop near 0n Thursday night in areas that still have a snowpack in Northern North Dakota:
