Synopsis: Good Friday morning! Dry weather returns to the forecast today with some sunshine this afternoon. A warm front will move into the area on Saturday, bringing increased moisture with cloud cover and some scattered showers. It will not rain all day with only hit/miss coverage. Temperatures will continue to warm Saturday night, with conditions expected to be favorable for severe weather late Sunday afternoon through Sunday night as a strong cold front moves through. We’ll have to deal with scattered showers/storms through the day…but a period of drier conditions likely works into southern portions of the area before storms move through area-wide Sunday night. Most of the district is under an enhanced severe storm risk, and this is a set-up to watch very closely. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes are the main threats. Current guidance would indicate areas further west and north in the area have the highest severe potential. Next week will bring cooler temperatures – near average. Model guidance has trended drier as well. Details in today’s video. Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions!
