11-29-19 Tovar Dubuque: Latest on wintry precip tonight into tomorrow morning. MG.

Good Friday evening! Looking at some of the latest data, thoughts from the AM are on track. We think that precip chances look to increase from Madison and points north around the Midnight hours. This looks to be coming in the form of snow/wintry mix through about ~9 AM CT. Throughout the day Saturday, we think the freezing line will hover around La Crosse to Green Bay and leave points south as rain. data suggests that we’ll then see this freezing line shift south once we get to Sat evening near Sundown and see the transition back to snow. Treated surfaces do not look to see accumulation.

Here is a look at a 6 – Panel of simulated radar.

Here is a look at temperatures during this time as well.  Temperatures look to be mainly at/ slightly above freezing during this time which will help limit any significant pavement accumulations.  Areas further to the north such as Stevens Point will be flirting around the freezing mark to just below.  Warmer temperatures from Madison to Milwaukee and areas to the south will greatly limit any impacts.
