11-27-19 Tovar Stevens Point (9:30 AM CT): Snow is beginning to dissipate… possible refreeze risk tonight. MG.

Here is a current look at the radar as of 9:05 AM CT.  As you can see we still have a few flurries hanging around the area.  Dry air is beginning to work its way into the area and is beginning to weaken any existing snow flurries.  Activity will continue to wind down as we head throughout the morning.

Here is a look at the current temperatures as 8:45 AM CT.

Temperatures will jump up slightly as we head into the afternoon.  This will allow for some snow melt/ runoff.  Temperatures are then expected to dive below freezing, posing a refreeze risk for these areas.  Here is a look at temperatures by midnight.

Here is a look at a 4 panel of simulated radar from 11 AM – 2 PM.  The model is likely “overdone” as we continue to see the flurries weaken but does a good job illustrating the weakening nature of these flurries.  As we get to about 1 PM – 2 PM timeframe, snow will have likely shut off.
