11-26-19 Tovar Stevens Point: (11:15 PM CT) Updated thoughts on precip this evening.V.

Good Tuesday evening!

A current look at radar:

Preferred sim radar out through 6 AM CT . For the overnight hours, we expect the rain/snow line to be situated just slightly north of La Crosse to Stevens Point- something we will watch very closely for Stevens Point because a 10 mile change in this rain/ snow line would have implications on the precip type. Points north of that rain/ snow line such as Eau Claire, Medford, Wausau, and Thorp look to see all snow:

Temps during this time- as temps from La Crosse to Stevens Point look to stay slightly above freezing while points North will be at freezing and below:

Current favored snowfall totals out through 10 AM CT tomorrow morning, we are still favoring the 6-8 AM CT timeframe for there to be a changeover from rain to snow/mix  in Stevens Point as the low moves east and drags some of those cooler temps with it. As long as treatment is down, based on latest data we do not think Stevens Point will see pavement accumulation.
