Good Monday morning everyone! Hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Quiet on the radar this morning, but temperatures did fall below zero in Northern North Dakota:
Many areas see widespread sunshine today before a warm front starts to move into tomorrow that leads to warmer risks in Western areas and clouds/precipitation risks. Here’s a look at temperatures/fronts over the next 4 days:
We could see some light snowfall tomorrow morning and throughout the day tomorrow in NE Minnesota with light accumulations of a dusting to 0.5″:
Better risks for snowfall will come as the warm front starts to push east mid-day to tomorrow afternoon with some light snow showers possible in NW Minnesota. Probably battling dry air at first leading to better light snow accumulations east. As warmer air works east, snow can changeover on the backside to freezing rain and rain.
Light snowfall accumulations especially in North-Central ND and NW Minnesota are possible:
On the backside some light freezing rain accumulations are also possible, but warming temperatures into Thursday should help limit problem on roadways.
Some re-development is possible on the backside in Eastern SD and Southern Minnesota. The new Euro picks this idea out well:
We’re carefully watching a late week system that will track similarly to that of this weekend’s blizzard. A weaker high to the north could lead to some northern trends in this system so it needs to be watched carefully.
