Mostly Sunny and dry conditions are expected for today and tomorrow with a few very light rain/ sprinkle chances across far northern Iowa. Here is a look at simulated radar from noon today through 6 PM Monday.
Winds will not be much of an issue today. We could see some breezy conditions tomorrow, especially the further north and west you are. Here is a look at wind gust potential for tomorrow afternoon.
Here is a look at simulated radar from 9 AM Tuesday through 3 PM Wednesday. The exact track of this low pressure system is going to be key as current data has Iowa dived on where the rain/ snow line is.
Here is a look at modeled snowfall amounts. Some fine tuning will need to be done as we go forward as there is still some model differences regarding snowfall amounts and exact placement of the low pressure system. Models are in fairly good agreement, however, that northern/ northwestern portions of Iowa have the highest probability for accumulating snowfall. As things stand now, it looks like you will see mostly rain in the Quad City area.
Winds also look to be breezy as this system passes. Here is a look at wind gust potential Tuesday afternoon/ evening. Wind gust of 30+ MPH will be possible.
