Kansas Video:
Past 24 hour rainfall accumulations:
Forecast radar from 6pm tonight through 7am Saturday shows an upper low providing some light snow shower activity across central and southwest Kansas overnight tonight through Friday afternoon, diminishing Friday night.
We are forecasting a narrow band of 1-3″ in southwest-central Kansas, then totals tending to lower as one heads east northeast from there. Most of this accumulation occurs before noon on Friday, as coverage/intensity decreases beyond that. This snow will be wet and slushy.
Precipitation totals (if all moisture fell as rain) through Friday night. Areas in SE KS look to receive mainly rain as temperatures remain warm enough:
Wind guidance over the next 4 days:
Watching a disturbance Monday night – Tuesday as a front passes, bringing some snow potential here. Still seeing model differences, but there is something there to watch.
