11-17-17 Ohio: Very gusty Sat…heavy, wet snow showers possible on the backside as well…details here! K.

Friday, November 17, 2017 Ohio Forecast:

Today’s video (6 min):

Continue to monitor for a gusty storm threat late Friday night into Saturday as a warm from lifts north and a cold from sweeps east tomorrow. Wind gusts topping 45-50mph at times will be possible across the majority of the state with wind advisories likely. The bulk of the heavy rainfall will stay I-70 north ~1-2″ (locally higher possible)…south of I-70 are targeted to see roughly 0.5-1″.

We do need to monitor for bursts of heavy wet snow showers on the backside of this low pressure system Saturday evening into the overnight hours…at this time not expecting any accumulations on the roadways (grassy/elevated surfaces will be possible, however) given surface temps above freezing and winds gusting still over 30mph.

Updated weeks 1-2 long-range outlooks…overall, staying chill as we end November.
