11-17-17 Friday Seymour District Forecast

Synopsis: Good Friday morning! Quiet and chilly conditions across the district this morning, but big changes are on the way over the next 12-24 hours.  Clouds will increase this afternoon, but we should remain dry during the daylight hours.  As we go through tonight, expect winds to really start increasing, gusting over 30 mph.  Scattered showers will develop this evening and continue through the first half of Saturday, along with warmer and more “humid” air on Saturday.  Rain showers will become heavier with embedded thunderstorms during the afternoon as the cold front moves through.  This is when we need to watch for localized wind gusts reaching 55-60 mph, with gusts area-wide 35-45 mph.  Showers may end with some wet snow flakes during the evening as sharply colder air filters in, but certainly no concerns for any road issues.  Dry weather returns Sunday with winds gradually decreasing.  Details on the forecast, including a look at next week’s weather in the video below.  Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions!
