Good Thursday morning everyone. We do have a band of snow working through N. ND and NE MN with some rain mixing in at times. This area of precipitation continues to push ESE throughout the day today, with the best snowfall chances of 1″+ in NE Minnesota.

Here’s a look at our snowfall map for today. Note, cannot rule out especially along and south of where snow is falling right now to see 0.5 – 1.0″ of snow, but this looks to be isolated with the better chance in NE Minnesota:

The next system begins to work into NW ND overnight tonight as a mix of snow/sleet and rain before precipitation changes over to all snow as we work into tomorrow. Here’s a look at the simulated radar into 1AM tomorrow night:
Right now, given where favorable frontal forcing is going to setup, here’s the area that we favor for the best snow risks tomorrow. We’ll likely see a band of 3-5″ of snow in Western ND including Minot and Bismarck with a 1-3″ band extending in Southern Minnesota:
