Rain showers will continue to move from west to east across the state this morning, gradually exiting this afternoon. Areas further west should see sunshine build in later today.
Forecast rainfall this morning: heavier rains from near Effingham south to near Mount Vernon, Olney, and Robinson where 1″ may fall.
Dry and chilly on Thursday. A warm front will lift through the area Friday bringing scattered showers and gusty winds. Showers and storms increase Friday night and Saturday as a strong cold front moves through the area. While widespread severe weather is not expected, localized strong, damaging wind gusts cannot be ruled out.
