Good evening! Dry air has been eating up a lot of the snow so far, with all reports north of our area. A few flurries or brief snow showers may reach the ground in mainly Will, Grundy, Kendall, and central/northern Cook county.
Forecast radar from 7pm-2am Central Time shows the disorganized nature of any flurries and snow showers, mainly occurring in northern Will and portions of Kendall and Grundy counties.
A better way to look at any impacts on surface is the accumulation map below. In general, northern Cook county, DuPage county and north are where these concerns set-up for 0.25″ or less of accumulation. Across Chicago South the activity will be so isolated and light that it is a non-impact event. Temperatures will fall near 20 overnight with some breaks in the clouds towards sunrise. We’ll have a mix of sun & clouds for Thursday, with highs near 33º. Winds will become rather light 5-10mph overnight through Thursday.
