You can see on the forecast radar we’ll see some enhanced snowfall rates work into Cook county between 5-7am from Lake Michigan, with the entire area continuing to see steady snow through noon, then quickly tapering. You will note the snowfall rates gradually decreasing after 10am.

Temperatures will continue to drop into the 20s, the entire area in the 20s by 8am.  This means pavement accumulations become more and more prevalent.

Expect a noticeable increase in the wind as the front passes this morning, between 6-9am we’ll see gusts increase from 15mph to 25-35mph, initially northeast, then turning due north.

Latest forecast snow totals remain on track with our previous update with 5-7″ storm totals widespread across the area.
