Current weather hazards is below…flooding risks continue across the southern half of MN, while snow showers continue across parts of western SD:

Regarding precipitation today we see the wave of energy continuing to track southwest to northeast…snow showers mixing in will be the threat across the central Dakotas, with cold rain showers persisting on and off across the eastern Dakotas into Minnesota:

Overnight tonight into early Tuesday morning we see energy persist across NW SD into central ND that will likely continue off and off rain/showers, meanwhile locations further east mainly across far eastern SD and the southern half of MN maintain the threat for rain showers continuing:

Precipitation guidance over the next 48 hours is below…likely seeing pretty widespread 1-3″ across the southern 2/3rds of Minnesota; the eastern half of SD poses a risk for 0.5-1.5″ with ~0.25-0.75″ of liquid possible further north and west:

Another round of more wintry weather is expected late Tuesday night into the day on Wednesday moving southwest to northeast…in today’s video we also discuss the risk for heavy wet snow potentially accumulating with cold air wrapping in around the backside of the low pressure system across eastern ND and northern MN:

Total precipitation guidance over the next week…the western Dakotas definitely pose a risk to stay drier…the eastern half of the Northern Plains will be susceptible to ~0.75-2″, with localized higher amounts of 2-3″+ across far eastern SD into MN possible:
