Good Monday morning everyone! It’s a very cold start to the day across the area with widespread record temperatures set across the Central US.
Here’s a look at overnight lows last night:
A warm front works in the area today and could spawn a couple of light showers or sprinkles as we work into this afternoon, but not expecting any widespread heavy rain especially given dry air near the surface. Most likely remain dry.
We’ll swing in another cold front tomorrow which could spawn some very scattered light snow showers or flurries in Northern Minnesota. Another wave of energy works in especially for Tuesday night and this could bring a bit of a better chance for some snow showers or squalls. Generally, if you see snow it will be a dusting with the best chance for an isolated 0.5″ to 1.0″ in far NE Minnesota:
Higher pressure works in for Wednesday and temperatures will gradually warm back into the 60s for the area by Thursday. Here’s a look at temperatures over the next 4 days:

A cold front will work in on Friday leading to a scattered rain chance in far south and eastern areas. The better chance for some rain or snow will be Friday night and Saturday in Northern Minnesota as a weak wave of energy pushes through the area:
