Here is a look at the current hazards across the state.  Areas in south central Kansas are currently in a red flag warning due to drier and gusty conditions.

Wind gust potential this afternoon.

Dry weather is expected today as a stout southerly breeze will bring in some warmer temperatures.  Here is a look at temperatures around 4 PM today.

Some light precipitation will be possible across SE Kansas tomorrow through Friday morning.  Here is a look at simulated radar 3 AM tomorrow through 6 PM Friday.  Some heavier rain will be possible into Friday afternoon / evening across SE KS with some strong wind gust and thunder and lightning.  Snow during this time will be focused into western / northern KS.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 6 PM Friday through 6 PM Saturday.  Cold air will continue to filter into the backside of the system allowing for accumulating snowfall potential for mainly eastern portions of the state.

Here is a look at preferred rainfall amounts through Saturday (if all precipitation fell as rain).  Heavy rainfall will be focused across SE portions of the state.

Here is a look at the probability (based off of 51 model members) of snowfall accumulations 1+”.  Highest chance to see accumulating snow will be across eastern portions of the state.
