1-6-18 Northern INDOT Forecast Update – latest on freezing rain/accumulating snow Sunday into Monday. K.

Synopsis: Good Saturday morning! Today’s update focuses majorly on the wintry mixed precipitation moving in Sunday afternoon exiting east Monday morning. Light snow will be possible ~7am-12pmEST Sunday morning, followed by light freezing mist/drizzle from ~12pm-7pm before the main wave of freezing rain works east following this through midnight. We do think there will be a transition back to snow after midnight early Monday morning through ~7am exiting east across the Ft. Wayne District. Right now current thinking is ~1-2″ of accumulating snowfall, with confidence low on ice accumulation at this time. We will likely have an additional update later this afternoon/evening, let us know if you have any questions…have a blessed day! -Kirk
