Snow flurries and snow showers will be possible mainly across the western half and southern parts of the state later this afternoon into the evening as a piece of energy swings northwest to southeast…also likely enhanced by the moisture coming off of Lake Michigan…right now a coating of snow is on the table, enough to keep untreated surfaces slick but it will be patchy in nature.
All eyes need to be on the second of Sunday into Monday as a nasty mix of wintry weather will be possible from freezing rain to slushy snowfall into the Monday morning commute that would complicate travel greatly…we will update on this this weekend, just know that given how cold we will be Sunday morning with a quick warm up anything that falls on the surface whether rain or snow will make things quite slick:
