1-4-20 Tovar Milwaukee: Discussing wintry potential tomorrow. MG.

WI Video:

Current look at the radar as of 9:16 AM across SE WI.  Some very light snow will be possible this morning for these areas.

Here is a look at the current temperatures as of 8:45 AM.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 7 AM tomorrow morning through 3 PM tomorrow afternoon.

Here is a look at temperatures around the same time frame.  Note that temperature will begin on the colder side of things to start the day.  Greatest pavement impacts will be felt upon snowfall as we will be coming from colder temperatures.  A treatment should mitigate any risk of pavement accumulation initially.  Temperatures look to warm up after this wave of snow that will help to melt any snow that can stick to the pavement.

Here is a look at modeled snowfall accumulations through tomorrow.  Warmer temps behind the snow should eat away at any that can stick to pavement.  Due to consistently seeing cooler temps, areas around Stevens Point have the greatest potential for seeing pavement issues as the wave of snow passes.

Tomorrow also looks to be very breezy.  Here is a look at the wind gust potential tomorrow afternoon.  Wind gust of 30+mph will be possible.

The stronger winds should help dry any moisture that can be retained on pavement.  If any moisture can be retained, it has potential for refreeze temperatures will dip below 30 F into Monday morning.  At this time, due to the stronger winds, refreeze potential seems very low.  Here is a look at temperatures around 7 AM Monday.
