Expecting quiet weather for much of the area through Saturday. Lots of sunshine today, with a bit more clouds building in Friday and especially Saturday. Here is a look at temperature trends through Sunday. The coldest air will stay just to our northeast through late week, but still generally below normal. The entire region will run slightly above normal by Sunday, with above freezing temps expected!
Watching for light precipitation to build in Saturday night, and continue into Sunday night as a storm system moves across the southern Plains. We will need to watch temperature trends closely, as this may begin as freezing rain for some late Saturday night and early Sunday. Temperatures do look to warm enough for plain rain by Sunday afternoon.

Signs point to another storm system impacting the area around mid to late week. This could be a stronger and more widespread precipitation maker. Winter storm potential is there, but since this is a week away much can still change.
