It’ll be a windy and mild day out there today with winds gusting out of the southwest at times to 30-35mph and highs today getting into the mid to upper 40s south of I-70:
Overall not expecting much in the way of impactful precipitation over the next 36 hours, it’s the second half of the day Thursday into Friday where we get some light rain showers to work east, south of I-70 with some lake effect snow showers possible into Friday with stout northwest winds moving in behind the cold front:
The biggest feature we need to watch is later Saturday evening into Sunday as a fairly impressive wave of wintry weather works into Ohio bringing the chance for accumulating snowfall…both the GFS and European models suggest a widespread 3-5″, with the caveat that things will likely shift around a bit over the next couple of days, so just keep this timeframe in mind when planning your travels and plans:
