1-3-20 Tovar Kokomo: Latest info on snowfall potential. MG.

IN PM Update:

Preferred simulated radar guidance from 3 PM today through 6 AM tomorrow morning.

Preferred simulated radar guidance from 7 AM tomorrow morning through 12 AM Sunday.

Preferred model snowfall accumulations for this wave of snow.  These accumulations are mainly for grassy and elevated surfaces.  Pavement issues are not anticipated.   It may be worth monitoring or treating 0 tolerance lots to account for the risk of isolated slick spots.  Overall, we are not anticipating widespread impacts.

Temperatures look to remain largely above freezing which will limit any snow from accumulating.  Here is a look at temperatures around 7 AM Saturday morning.  Also, temperatures will be coming from warmer, so pavement temperatures can be expected.

We will see wind gust around 15 – 20 mph on Saturday afternoon which will help dry out any moisture.  Here is a look at the wind gust potential around 3 PM Saturday.

Temperatures will crash Saturday night into Sunday morning.  If any moisture is retained into Saturday night into Sunday morning, there will be potential for refreeze.  Here is a look at temperatures around 5 AM Sunday morning.
