1-3-18 Ohio: Wave of light snow works east today…continuing to eye a potent winter storm early next week. K.

Today’s video:

A wave of energy with light snowfall accumulations is working east this morning and will continue through early Thursday morning…the majority of any flurries/snow showers will remain north of I-70 and will be relatively patchy in accumulations…watch for slick spots as well where left untreated:

Here’ simulated radar guidance over the next 24 hours…the wave slowly bleeds east throughout the day but overall stays mainly around and north of I-70 into Thursday morning:

Continuing to eye a nasty winter storm possible late Sunday into early next week…details still need to be fine-tuned with the exact timing, precipitation type and accumulations but right now all types of frozen precipitation are at play with accumulating snowfall on the backside a possibility…stay tuned for more on this but have it close to your radar especially if making plans early next week:
