Wind chill alerts are in place across the area…Here is a look at expected wind chills Wednesday AM:

For areas in the wind chill warning, we are talking about wind chill values where frostbite can occur in about 10 minutes or less.  Limit time outdoors, and dress in layers!!  

A couple weak waves of snow showers will move through into Wednesday night…with minor accumulations possible, mainly from central Nebraska through northwest and south-central Missouri.   Snowfall accumulations through Wednesday night shown below:

The pattern becomes MUCH warmer late week through the weekend, with an increasingly active flow with multiple systems impacting the region from late weekend through much of next week.  We’ll also see much colder air return from northwest to southeast next week.  Check out the GFS through mid-next week:
