Good Tuesday Morning! Below is your latest forecast update:
Sim radar from 8 AM ET this morning through 8 PM ET tonight. We think this hit/miss and on/off drizzle can linger around for a decent stretch of the day, however temps across downtown look to rise above freezing by ~10 AM ET. As mentioned in previous updates, it is certainly no guarantee that everyone sees this drizzle, however the “ingredients” are there for that potential:
Hourly temps as we go throughout the day today from 8 AM ET to 8 PM ET. Each frame is one hour:
We keep those chances of seeing that freezing drizzle into tomorrow morning as there is just enough low level moisture combined with some upper level energy to squeeze out some drizzle. As mentioned in the video we think chances are slightly lower Wed AM than what they were Mon AM and this AM, but chances are not 100% off the table:
Temps in the day break hours of tomorrow will be situated once again slightly below freezing:
We are monitoring for the potential of a round of very light, scattered snow to work across the area late Wednesday into early Thursday, details on timing/accumulation in the video. Sim radar from 1 PM Wed to 7 AM Thu. We do not think this is a high impact event, but we think this event could produce up to a coating on untreated surfaces:
Here is upper level energy with this system from Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Those dark yellows/oranges moving across the area show the energy and will provide enough lift in the atmosphere for a brief shot of scattered snow showers Wed night into Thu:
Total liquid precipitation out through Friday evening:
