Dense fog advisory this morning over the southeast half of the state until 9AM. Watch for areas of black ice as temperatures are well below freezing.
Should be a nice day for much of the state once the fog southeast dissipates this morning. Partly to mostly sunny skies with above normal temps and little wind. The next concern in the forecast arrives overnight and through the day Monday. A secondary cold front will push through the state tonight, bringing in colder air and we expect snow showers to develop. Here is the latest simulated radar from 11pm this evening trough Tuesday morning. Snow showers will build in across northern Indiana tonight, and expect scattered snow showers to increase across the rest of the state towards daybreak. Do want to note that some of this may begin as some freezing drizzle late tonight, so that will be something to monitor. Scattered snow showers on Monday, with the activity increasing through the day over the eastern/northeast half of the state, and decreasing coverage west and south. Scattered flurries/snow showers may linger Monday night into early Tuesday over eastern and northern portions of the state.
Snow accumulations of a coating to half-inch possible north and east of Indianapolis, with little in the way of accumulation west and south. Northern Indiana will see the highest amounts, with some lake effect snow bands giving some locations a couple inches around La Porte.
Temperatures by 7am Monday will be below freezing for much of the state. As we head through the day, areas north of I-70 stay below freezing all day, while areas south warm above freezing. Will have to watch for lingering snow showers over eastern and northern sections of the state Monday night as temperatures fall well into the 20s and even teens.
