An arctic front arrives this evening bringing scattered flurries/light snow showers to the area, as temperatures crash overnight.
Accumulations will be minor, but a few slick spots likely to develop this evening and overnight:
Tracking multiple waves of snow showers from Friday PM through Sunday. The video breaks these down into more detail, but through the weekend 2-3″ of snow is looking likely especially for the central and northern portions of the region, with areas in southern IL/IN seeing less than 1″.
A stronger system shows up Monday/Monday night followed by extreme arctic cold.
