Synopsis: Good Tuesday afternoon! We mentioned the risk this morning for potential black ice and slick spots tonight with lingering precipitation hanging around…in today’s video we reiterate this as a light mist/drizzle looks to persist overnight tonight through Wednesday with temps dropping into the upper 20s. Areas left untreated will likely become slick given the pavement will stay consistently wet. We don’t think this threat finally winds down until early Wednesday afternoon where the energy finally works east. Simulated total QPF through Wed afternoon shows how we are adding every so slightly every hour some moisture at the surface…given temps falling slightly below freezing we continue to have a concern for slick spots and black ice forming where left untreated.
